Ad Queries In .net

Hi I am writing a visual basic .net windows application (windows form) this is a conversion from a working VBS HTA. What i am struggling with is the Active Directory queries so i am looking for some help. There are 3 queries in total all are simple queries. I cannot give you access to the project or active directory but i can give you the orginal query in VB Script.
